MAKING DONATIONS TO Sheffield Zimbabwe HIV Action
Without regular support working with children and finding their regular needs would be impossible. With the new Gift Aid scheme for UK taxpayers we will be able to claim back an additional 28 pence for every pound we collect. This means the vast majority of our funds can reach the young people who need them and will not be tied up in administration. Here is how you can assist:
  • By post: fill in and print out our donation form and send it with your cheque to the address at the base of the form.
  • By standing order: This method of support is really useful as it needs less administration on our part to manage the income and we have greater certainty about how much income from a particular source we will receive. In this way we know clearly how many schools or children we can support. Simply fill in and print out our standing order form.
  • Donating online with the Charities Aid Foundation Card (CAF). -If you hold such a card or credit card you can donate directly to us through the CAF secure payment site. We ourselves cannot handle credit card payments directly as it is simply too costly to administer. You can pay us securely with a Charity Card through online giving
Giving with GIFT AID:
  • This enables us to claim tax relief on any donations we receive. The donor no longer has to make a deed of covenant in order to make your donations efficient (although you may still give deeds of covenant). We can claim the tax benefit from the Inland revenue as long as you make a declaration stating you wish to support us with Gift Aid. We will then get an extra twenty-eight pence for every pound.
  • If you pay a higher rate of tax we can claim the basic rate tax on your donation . Simply fill out the gift aid declaration form.
