Sheffield Zimbabwe HIV Action

Sheffield-Zimbabwe HIV Action is a small group, which is based on friendship and personal contact with Batanai. We were inspired by the life and work of Auxillia Chimusoro, who was a personal friend of members of the group. Since we started in 1991 we have staged a succession of fundraising events on behalf of Batanai, as well as a national conference in 1997. Over these years there has been a regular exchange of visitors between Masvingo and Sheffield, taking news and resources in both directions.

Our aims

We aim:

to encourage the exchange of information and ideas between Zimbabwe and Sheffield in order to promote the human rights and wellbeing of people in Zimbabwe living with HIV/AIDS.
To provide financial and moral support to self-help groups of people living with HIV/AIDS in Zimbabwe
