Spring Term 2013 2 New classes!

Kutamba! continues its dance classes in Spring 2013 with Richard Mahachi from Umkhati Theatre Works on TUESDAYS from Jan 22 at the Burton Hall of the Burton Street Foundation, Hillsborough S6 2HH. 7.30 to 8.30p.m.Its easily accessible by tram-two minues walk. Buses also stop at the Hillsborough Barracks terminus a few minutes walk. Parking is free but enter from infirmary Road via Bamforth street, turn first left and left again. Also we meet WEDNESDAYS 7.30 to 8.50p.m. in the dance studio of the Living Well Club at the Hilton Hotel, Furnival Road, Victoria Quays, Sheffield S4 7YA. It has air conditioning, wooden floors and mirrors! Membership of Living Well is optional but we offer 20% reduction on class fees to full members with card.

The cost is payable in advance at £6.00 per session or £40.00 for the term of ten weeks with reductions for full time students, OAPs and unemployed. Classes are open to all without audition and suitable for beginners as well as people more experienced in modern dance styles. The styles draw influences from tradtiional African and contemporary dance, hip hop and street dance styles. Richard Mahachi of Umkhati theatre works & Owen Ncube, formerly with Siyaya dance also brings wide experience or percussion and dance including five years of work with the national Leadership Challenge that has regularly supported the charity Accounting for Africa
