Join Kutamba

The group welcomes people of all backgrounds wishing to explore dances from the Southern Africa region.
This incorporates traditional dance but performed in an upbeat contemporary style that explores
intercultural links. Dance is taught through a dynamic concept of cultural change. We have members from
all backgrounds and cultures. We are a small group and places are limited so please phone first to check
for space.

Adults meet on Thursday Nights 7.15p.m. to 9.00p.m. at the Central Methodist Church (New Victoria Hall)
Norfolk Row, Sheffield opposite the Crucible Theatre. Entrance is in Chapel Row. Cost is £4.00 per
session with reductions if the full term is paid in advance.Classes are taught by Simon Banda of Sunduza
and guest artists

Kutamba Drummers: Kutamba (adult classes) supports a live drumming team which you are welcome to join
if you have some experience. We meet as above.

Kutamba Kids! Meets every saturday morning in term time from 10.30a.m.to 12.00p.m. Ages 5-10yrs meeting
in the spring term 2006 at Ranmoor Parish Centre, Ranmoor Road in Sheffield

We also have centres at the Burngreave Ashram Dance Studio in Hallcar Street almost opposite the Burngreave
Library in Sheffield starting in the summer term again and In Fir Vale.
We explore percussion, dance, dance rhythms, Southern African songs and theatre.The group is led by MandlaSibanda and guest artists. All teachers have CRB clearance and basic first aid training. Cost is £3.00 per session
