Our critics claim we are trying to be Africans. We believe after one hundred of years of colonialism(at least) it is time we all studied languages from Southern africa in much the same way as other choirs sing in Italian, French and German. For years Africans have sung English hymns whilst being force fed the culture through schools and government. Surely it is time we began understanding how to communicate and realised the intercultural nature of the music we all listen to today.
