Matata (The Big problem)
Sunduza's full dance theatre production reflecting the full range of dances and wonderful harmonies, a series of dancing musical cameos. It is the story of two young footballers who face all the problems young people face in Bulawayo, that of unemployment, a struggling family, the preaching of the church and the health workers who talk about Aids. They live in two cultures, the African and the European, operate in two languages, most have two homes-the rural and the urban. Through a series of cameos the present and the past are inextricably linked. In flashback the audiences meet King Mzilikazi who is confronted with the arrival of Christianity and the missionary work of Scotsman Robert Moffat in the 1800’s.
